Priding ourselves on being the first major code with an all-Mainland regional team, we are brought together by the giant, iconic ‘zip’ that runs through the heart of our island — our majestic Southern Alps.

From PHL to JHL and FHL, we represent the whole of the South Island every time we step onto the turf. You see it in the way we play. You see it in the way we carry ourselves off the turf. And we are proud of it.

PHL Men’s Champions in 2024 and 2025. PHL Women’s Bronze Medallists in 2024 and 2025. Gold for our U21 Men and silver for our U21 Women at the 2025 JHL, followed by a pair of bronze medals at the 2026 JHL.

We are proud of what we have achieved so far — but we are even more excited about where we are going.

We may have started as a franchise, but we are now a family. A family united by the South Island and driven by a shared ambition of creating elite hockey pathways for young players from across the Mainland, from their first steps on the turf right through to the Blacksticks.
