Alpiners Coaches Appointed

The Alpiners are pleased to announce the appointment of two outstanding coaches who will lead our Men’s and Women’s squads.

Alpiners Men’s Coach Appointment

We are delighed to annouce Aaron Ford as the Men’s head coach. With extensive coaching experience, and invlolvement in the high performance player pathway Aaron sees it a real privileged to lead the Alpiners Men.

“I’m looking forward to being part of this fantastic event from the beginning and helping to grow the brand and build our fan base by connecting our Mainland communities while playing some amazing hockey.”

Alpiners Women’s Coach Appointment

Just as exciting is the appointment of Chris Leslie as head coach of the Alpiners Women. With comprehensive playing and coaching experience including with the Black Stick Women, Chris will bring a wealth of knowledge to the role.

“I am incredibly honoured to be appointed as head coach of the Alpines’ women’s team. Leading and taking on a hands-on coaching role with an all-Mainland regional team is both exciting and a massive challenge. Together with the support of the Alpiners management team, I look forward to developing both our current and aspiring national players, with the goal of winning the PHL and preparing athletes for the Vantage Black Sticks national programme. “
