Brooker Alpiners Men in Grand Final!

It all comes down to one day. This Saturday 7th December at North Harbour Hockey Stadium in Auckland! Can the Brooker Alpiners Men take home the gold?!?

The Brooker Alpiners men are in the gold medal match taking on the Falcons. In our last match up the Alpiners had a 3-1 lead at the end of the third quarter, until Oscar Nation scored a field goal and conversion in the last two minutes for the Falcons, who then won the shootout 4-3 with Black Sticks keeper Dom Dixon in goal.

Heading into the finals the Alpiners have a solid team with Black Sticks defenders Kane Russell and Simon Yorston joining the side from last weekend, and the leagues top goal scorer Sam Lane leading the side.

The Brooker Alpiners Women will face off against the Mavericks in the bronze medal match, after a close draw against the Tridents not quite getting them over the line on points.

The Premier Hockey League Finals will be held at North Harbour Hockey Stadium in Auckland, featuring all eight teams competing in four matches:

• 13:15 - Women’s Bronze Medal Match - Mavericks vs Alpiners 

• 15:15 - Men’s Bronze Medal Match - Tridents vs Mavericks 

• 17:15 - Women’s Gold Medal Match - Tridents vs Falcons 

• 19:15 - Men’s Gold Medal Match - Falcons vs Alpiners
