Alpiners Men’s & Women’s Teams Announced

Head coaches Chris Leslie (Alpiners Women’s Coach) & Aaron Ford (Alpiners Men’s Coach) have named their teams ahead of the upcoming Premier Hockey League.

There is a mix of Canterbury and Otago players across both teams with several current and past Black Sticks who bring valuable experience to the squad, as well as Future Black Sticks also included in the squad make up.

Chris Lesie said “We’re really thrilled about the PHL competition and the challenge it represents, as well the opportunity to prepare players for national and international success. The opportunity to bring hockey more into the public eye and showcase top talent and quality competition is incredibly exciting.”

The PHL commences on the weekend of 3rd November in Dunedin at the Alexander McMillan Hockey Centre where the Alpiners take on the Falcons.
